Fredag 3. april til søndag 12. april gikk det 20. Gathering of Friends av stabelen. Gathering of Friends er et brettspilltreff som arrangeres av Alan Moon, hvor det kommer over 350 deltakere fra hele verden. Her samles både forlagsfolk, spillmakere og engasjerte spillere, og det er en utmerket sjanse til å teste nye spill, både allerede publiserte og planlagte utgivelser, samt prototyper.
Jeg fikk testet mange nye spill, både utgitte og prototyper, og en del eldre spill. Det var ingen klare hit'er i år. Tidligere år har det vært enkelte spill som "alle" har skrytt av og som har blitt spilt masse hele uken, som f.eks. Thurn & Taxis og Dominion. I år var det ingen slike spill, og folk hadde ulike meninger om hvilke(t) spill som var best. Min favoritt fra uken er nok Diamonds Club av Rudiger Dorn. Andre spill som folk snakket varmt om var bl.a. Fits, Finca og Cities.

Friday the 3rdh. to Sunday the 12th of April, was the date for the 20th annual Gathering of Friends. This boardgame event is being held by Alan Moon, and with over 350 participants from around the world, including both publishers, game authors and dedicated players, there were a lot of new games to try, both published, planned and prototypes.
This year there were no clear hits of the show - that is, games everyone were talking about and that you had to try. Thurn & Taxis and Dominon are examples of such games from previous years, but this year people had different opinions of what was the best. My favourite was Diamonds Club, by Rudiger Dorn. Other games that was played a lot was Fits, Finca and Cities, among others.
